Отечественная историческая наука находится в кризисе т.к. она фрагментарна и узкоспециализированна. Сегодня знание, расщепленное на множество дисциплин не связанных между собой, порождает поток слабо интегрируемой информации. Подобная расчлененность – тормоз процесса его интеграции. Думается, мир-системный подход окажется наиболее перспективной парадигмой выхода из сложившейся ситуации для получения качественно новых результатов.
